As Israel’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, Eliyahu’s promotion of policies leading to the physical destruction of the Palestinian people, his advocacy of policies of systematic persecution against identifiable groups, and his support for blockade policies that condemn civilians in Gaza to starvation are in breach of his obligations to protect civilians during armed conflict and to observe fundamental human rights.
